Fenris followed and went beyond the brief - fantastic photographs and plenty of them! Pro-actively requested what photographs we needed in particular, arrived promptly and was great to work with.
We at Profile Books were delighted with Fenris Oswin’s work as party photographer at two of our company events this year and would highly recommend him elsewhere.
I’d definitely employ Fenris again. An excellent photographer for those events where we have to get a good photographic record!
Ruth Killick, Publicity Director, Profile Books
It is always a pleasure to work with you Fenris as I know you can be trusted to do the job and make people feel at ease while you are doing it, a quality that is not all that common in all photographers.
The photographs are always of a really high quality and very interesting, I think because people relax with you that you get more insightful portraits of them. I would and have already recommended you to others.
Cathi Unsworth, Author
It was a real pleasure to work with you, during what was one scorching weekend of criminally good fun. It was an extra special year for us as we celebrated a ‘Decade of Crime’ in Harrogate, it was important for us to capture the essence of what the Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival is and what it means to people. And we were not disappointed!
Your photography really captured the atmosphere and excitement, with a great mix of both perfectly captured staged shots and beautiful distinctive angles. Your skills at making people feel relaxed to capture natural images is admirable, and you caught some amazing expressions and poses and encapsulated the fun and friendly atmosphere. Photographing such a busy weekend is no easy task, and you mixed authors, industry and crime fans into a really spectacular album.
Thank you once again for all your incredible hard work, and for not melting in the heat! I would highly recommend your genius photographic skills, and very much hope to work with you again.
Gemma Rowland, Crime Festival Manager, Harrogate International Festivals
The main ’face’ of the event was a well known children’s author (Francesca Simon), who is much used to being photographed for publicity purposes - and probably quite tired of the experience, in all honesty! She was particularly impressed with your manner. You dealt with her unobtrusively and confidently, meaning she could relax for the photographs. The event involved groups of children, some of which opted out of release for photographs. You worked carefully around these constraints, and the constraints of the venue staff. The photographs delivered were taken in such a way as to not in any way interrupt the children’s enjoyment of a special day out.
Fenris has photographed a number of events informally for us - always enthusiastic, punctual, prepared, delivers in terms of quality of images, and the download provision is ideal when we need swift turnaround. I am very happy to recommend his work.
Fenris took a number of amazing photographs during the Harrogate Crime Festival. All the authors warmed to him and through his professionalism were more than happy to pose for photographs when requested.
The photographs were of such quality that the board of the Harrogate Festival requested some of the photographs that Fen took to place on the Harrogate Festival website.
